NEMA Distributes Relief Materials to Sango Market Fire Victims

NEMA, South West Zonal Office in Collaboration with Oyo State Emergency Management Agency on 16th July 2024 distributed Food and Non Food Items to persons affected by fire Disaster at Sango Market Ibadan Oyo State.The distribution exercise was flagged off by the Zonal Coordinator Mr Kadiri Olanrewaju. He sympathized with the victims and expressed Federal Government’s support through NEMA for the distribution of food and non food items to the affected Persons. The Iyaloja General of Oyo State Chief Amb Alhajia Sariat Aduke thanked the Federal Government and NEMA for the materials provided and the timely intervention.The distribution was Carried out in the presence of relevant Stakeholders which includes,

• Oyo SEMA,
• Nigeria Police Force
• Market Association representative,
• Community leaders, among others. Some of the Beneficiaries also expressed their appreciation to
  the Director General of NEMA Mrs Zubaida Umar for always being there for those in distress.
