Dangote Refinery seals deal with another local marketer

The Dangote Refinery has sealed another deal with Ptima Energy, which is the latest to join the ranks of companies lifting Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, directly from its plant.

This move further expands the distribution network for Dangote’s refined products and reinforces the refinery’s growing influence in gaining market share in Africa’s biggest oil-producing country.

Ptima Energy joins established marketers like MRS, Ardova, and Heyden in securing direct access to petrol from the state-of-the-art Dangote Refinery.

This development will change the narrative of Nigerians dependency on importation of gasoline for domesticconsumers and open up a new vista òf opportunities for ocal content development.

It will also reduce the high demand for foreign exchange with effectual drop in the exchange rate.

The Dangote Refinery is no doubt a game changer not only for the oil indstry but the Nigerian economic environment as it spurs chain reaction of competition and expansion in the downstream sector of the oil industry.

Industry experts believe that in the next five years Nigeria will cease to be a net importer of petroleum products in Africa. Instead,it will become a global oil export hub.
